Teatime Chamber Recitals. A new venture.

We are going to try something new! This year, we are extending the RTWSO’s main season of six concerts with a new series of Sunday afternoon chamber recitals in May, June and July.

This is a trial run, to see if you like them enough to make them a permanent feature of our season.

The events will be very informal and friendly and will be followed by a buffet tea when players and audience will have plenty of opportunity to mix and get to know each other. We welcome everybody with an interest in chamber music, and hope that young musicians will come with their parents or teachers. They may be inspired to join in by playing at future recitals.

The recitals will take place in the Jubilee Theatre at Holmewood House School, Langton Green, at 3pm on 5 May, 2 June and 7 July. The music will last about an hour and will be followed by tea, cake and conversation until 5pm. Entrance is free, but donations of £5
to £10 per adult would help us cover our costs.

Your feedback on this idea is really important to us – now and especially after the recitals! Please contact Andrew Muir at andrew.muir@swift.com or Peter Mansfield at mansfield.pj@gmail.com with your questions or thoughts.

It would help the catering if you could let us know if you are thinking of coming.

The concerts

The concerts are very informal and it is possible that the programmes may change, but what we plan is as follows:
