With such a wealth of great talent working in this highly specialised field it is no surprise that the best film scores have now taken their place amongst the regular concert repertoire of great orchestras around the world. Please join us for another exciting musical journey through some more memorable sounds from the silver screen.

Roderick Dunk (Conductor)

Roderick Dunk is the RTWSO Music Director and one of Britain’s most versatile conductors, with a repertoire encompassing a diverse range of musical genres. He has conducted numerous British orchestras including the BBC CO, Hallé, CBSO, RLPO, RPO, LSO, BBC SSO, RSNO, RN Sinfonia, Northern Ballet and the Orchestra of Opera North.

Abroad he has conducted orchestras in Ireland, Norway, Finland, Germany and Italy and as far afield as Bangkok and Hong Kong. For 25 years, he was a frequent guest conductor for the BBC’s ‘Friday Night is Music Night’ and during that time conducted around 200 broadcasts.

Roderick is also a prolific arranger and his scores are now performed by orchestras all over the world.
